STUDIO STAR is a playout system primarily designed for the studio and newsroom purposes. Studio Star controls up to two videoserver channels at a time. First channel is dedicated as a record channel, the second one as a playout channel.
The material can be ingested to the videoserver using the record channel from the attached VTR or copied directly as a file.
More Star Studio instances can be run simultaneously to realize the multichannel playout.
The database and playlist resources can be shared between Star applications allowing the seamless operation.
Star Studio uses MOS gateway to interface to various newsroom systems.
